Here’s hoping everyone has a fine All Hallow’s Eve. Or at least gets themselves sick on candy.

Concession

Wow. A webcomic doing a webcomic-themed halloween costume party. The funny thing is that I don’t think I’ve even heard of most of the comics being referenced here. Except Garfield and Dilbert.

Cyanide and Happiness

There’s nothing for it, then. Now the Luigi guy has to find some dark alley to get mugged/beaten/raped/whatever.

Girly

I’m a little bit iffy on this, but isn’t “Go! We’ll hold them off!” a death sentence in most fictional universes?

Goodbye Chains

-twitch- So, very, very creepy. And not in the fun Hallow’s Eve way.

Irregular Webcomic

Well yeah, of course the evil mirror universe Joneses would not think of themselves as evil.

Lead Paint

This pleased me. It does my heart good to see the Halloween theme played entirely straight.

Our Last Gasp

Well, he’s devoted, for sure. But more in the range of “creepy stalker obsessive” devotion, I think.

Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal

Don’t they give these people some sort of sensitivity training?

Sluggy Freelance

…. I miss the zombie head on a stick.

Okay, so I wasn’t able to get up an update yesterday. There was rain, then supper, then Saw, then conversationalizing, then sleep. There really wasn’t time to write. Tomorrow’s a little hazy in that manner, too.

+1 Comics

Over-muscled guys just creep me out, period. Not that I’d say that to the face of one of them, of course.

Back on Earth

He should look at it this way- a good fight should help burn off the anxiety, right?

The Book of Biff

And I had thought that the gangster boy was the lamest of all costumes. Just shows that I can always be proven wrong.

Bunny Pandemic

This sounds… political. I don’t like political. That’s why we’ve got politicians and political speakers/writers/comic writers- to deal with political so that other people, like me, don’t have to.

Concession

Fighting crabs! Neat!

Ctrl+Alt+Del

Poor Ethan. He’s really broken up, isn’t he? And yet I ask myself- do I care?

Cyanide and Happiness

Muahahaha! I love it! Great transfer between cliche and classic.

Eben07

Because of course the evil teacher has a spooky, shadowy minion. Named Justin.

Game Destroyers

To hell with getting new people. I like the group as it is. Get Destroying!

Girly

Tetris warfare looks like a lot of fun.

Goblins

It looks like the goblins have started something interesting, huh?

Goodbye Chains

Goddammit, this took long enough. This chase has been going since I was still posting regularly. At least it’s finally over.

Heroes Inc.

Um… ok… Problem solved?

Irregular Webcomic

I remember that book. Or rather, the original movie. It’s one of two movies from my childhood that I refuse to watch again.

Lead Paint

… He deserved it, and you can’t make me say different.

Luke Surl

Aren’t those things, like, heavy as hell?

Matter of Fact

I checked, and I did give this comic a fair warning. Since that warning, the quality has failed to improve. I strike it from the list.

Misfile

Filler, and kind of sloppy filler. But anyone who knows this comic knows that Ash has been waiting for an excuse like this. And Em is showing cleavage, which I have difficulty frowning towards.

Mysteries of the Arcana

I find this creepy (see previously made “over-muscled” comment), so I’m just going to say “poor Chrys” and move on with things.

No Need For Bushido

Damn, the enemy’s not supposed to think!

The Noob Comic

Okay, so the server is crashing at critical times, and it’s all that fuckturd’s fault. But I guess we still have to go through all of the motions.

Order of the Stick

Belkar gets rewarded for doing something right. No wonder he completely misjudged it at first, huh?

Our Last Gasp

If I don’t ask questions, I won’t get answers. Hopefully.

Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal

Seriously, who’s strong enough to break a knife?

Sluggy Freelance

Now he knows that puns are not for the inexperienced. He has learned something this day.

Something Positive

Well, I… don’t really care about this. I can’t go to any sort of con right now.

The SuperFogeys

Well… that’s interesting.

Union of Heroes

What the hell is “shashlik”?

xkcd

I watched Back to the Future once, I hardly remember any of it, but I do know that I loved it.

“Me” Update

Published by soysauce under Update List Edit This

Things have become a lot more complicated for me lately. Firstly, the main reason why I haven’t been able to do updates is because I now have a girlfriend ^_^. The avoidance of actually telling her that I liked her was the “something really big” that I talked about on October 13. However, it seems like actually being her boyfriend is proving to be just as much a distraction, so I still haven’t been able to post.

The other reason, I think, for my lack of posts is because of Today.com. Initially, this was a great site to blog on. They let me write what I wanted without getting in the way- and I got promised money for it. In a way. The main problem concerning this is that they won’t pay me anything until I’ve reached $50. The plan was that I’d switch over to my own site once I hit that mark. I’m currently in the range of 40-something, but with Today’s frequent server crashes that tend to keep me from getting to my blog, I was starting to become more frustrated with the site than I was excited about doing my posts.

I am going to try to do a proper update when I get home, but I don’t think I should be promising any sort of regularity when it comes to this blog at this time. I will try, though.

Two for two. At least, it would have been two for two if Today.com had been working last night. Stupid over-advertising site.

The Book of Biff

Yeah, I hate it when things are really tricky to carry just because of their shape

Ctrl+Alt+Del

I’m completely out of touch with what’s going on with this comic now…

Cyanide and Happiness

Random violence. Cool.

Game Destroyers (2)

They’re going to try coding a game. An obvious solution, really. And why would recoding a game be wrong? They DESTROY games.

Irregular Webcomic

I actually found this funny. Total ignorance of the facts does that sometimes.

Luke Surl

Some things just take priority, of course. Sooner or later, though, he’s going to run out of room.

Matter of Fact

Another comic that I get but don’t really find especially funny. I’m thinking… two weeks notice?

Misfile

This is pretty much the same thing as yesterday’s (I was actually confused about whether or not there was an update) so I’ll take this time to point out that Missie’s shirt is hot.

Our Last Gasp

That’s one pro about drinking at bars. If someone has alcohol, they’re not a minor.

Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal

Nobody could have predicted this. Unless they were aware of how Zach thinks, in which case, they would have been surprised if it turned out any other way.

Sluggy Freelance

They need that bunny. He’s tougher than the two of them put together.

Union of Heroes

Recap over now, yes? Now it’s time to get things moving again.

xkcd

I don’t understand this. I don’t want to understand this. Let’s leave it at that.

I would like to apologize officially for the hiatus. There was something really big going through my head, but I think I’ve got it sorted out now. It’d better be sorted out, because dealing with it caused small convulsions. No fun, but certainly worth it. And no, I’m not going to talk more about it. Today, since my hiatus was so long, I am not going to include multiple pages. Sorry, but them’s the breaks. And on the subject of hiatus, I’m moving both Hero and Amazoness! to that list, and taking Heroes Inc. off of it.

+1 Comics

I’ve always been somewhat wary about getting games based on other things. Like movies, or tv shows. They tend to be a little crappy. And I don’t have money to waste on crappy.

Back on Earth

Well, she must have liked something about him- otherwise, why would she have dated him for so long?

The Book of Biff

I’d always heard that it was physically impossible to keep your eyes open while sneezing.

Bunny Pandemic

I never knew this. Then again, I don’t think I’ve ever been Rick Rolled, either.

Concession

There are few times that I can understand wanting to get drunk. This would be one of them.

Ctrl+Alt+Del

I had this issue with Oblivion, on a lesser scale. “Sexual Themes” turned out to be an Orc “subtly” bragging about his exploits. That’s hardly theme-worthy. Although you could strip down people to their underwear, which is interesting.

Cyanide and Happiness

The bedsheet ghost has been lame since I was little, and has only gotten lamer. The yellow mark would at least lend character.

Eben07

I’m not sure what happened here, but I’m pretty sure that I don’t want to know.

Game Destroyers

Another home, checked off of the list. Okay.

Girly

Looks like Winter’s going to experience some resistance. As if I didn’t already know that. Nice intro for Queen Otra, though.

Goblins

Hut builders they may be, but now they’re hut builders with adventurer levels. Big difference, yeah?

Goodbye Chains

Well, at least I haven’t missed much here. More “Banquo is in trouble”.

Heroes Inc.

After playing this on Rock Band, I have to say how much this song annoys me. I keep thinking it’s about to end, and then it just keeps going.

Irregular Webcomic

This would probably be a little bit funny if I put more interest into Galileo Galilei.

Lead Paint

I know this is supposed to be a big reveal, but I still don’t understand what’s happening.

Life’s a Witch

I guess it was a good mistake after all. It was nice of her to give him a chance.

Luke Surl

There’s a Nobel Prize for everything. That dynamite guy really set off something big.

Matter of Fact

This is so incredibly stupid.

Misfile

I’m a little bit confused here. Okay, maybe a lotta bit.

Mysteries of the Arcana

Theresa gets the girl without even trying. Cuddle time!

No Need For Bushido

Strangely, this might actually work. Ina had better be ready.

Order of the Stick

Nobody messes with Mr. Scruffy (I think that’s right) and gets away with it. Not even old friends.

Our Last Gasp

He’s just not the dating type, now is he?

R&R Productions (The Assignment)

And then all the individual bits keep going. That’s not going to interest me enough to keep going, so I think I’m dropping these comics. Sorry ’bout that.

Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal

I doubt this would work, sorry to say. But then, I’m terrible at understanding the “average” person.

Sluggy Freelance

Proof that Bun-Bun still rocks. I am a little sad that I missed pretty much all of that mini-comic, though.

Something Positive

Hey, she did say “tells me everything”. Davan kind of does that by reflex.

The SuperFogeys Origins

Tom likes flying. I get this.

Union of Heroes

Questions indeed. But I’m not particularly interested in them.

xkcd

I’ve actually had quite a bit of fun with that slider. It’s amusing seeing what comes up.

There is definitely something weird going on with me. Either I’ve got too much on my mind or I’m just really, really easily distracted. I’ve been chatting, Spore, and roleplaying currently, and I tend to focus on the things that I do..

+1 Comics

I love Chip’s driving expertise. There’s just something purely awesome about the technically impossible.

The Book of Biff (2)

If they made a dream recorder, I would definitely use it. I’d like to find out what I dream about. Maybe with the doors closed, of course. The second… I don’t know what it’s about, so…

Concession

It would be nice if I could tell the difference between Joel and his brother.

Ctrl+Alt+Del

There’s a second Left 4 Dead? Cool.

Cyanide and Happiness (2)

Both of these are kind of creepy, which is all that I’d like to say.

Eben07

I’d like to not have to shave. But then again, my facial hair grows slow enough that I only have to shave every other week or so, so I guess it could be worse.

Game Destroyers (2)

See? I knew that they wouldn’t be sticking around, even if P.G. had a better reason than I thought he would.

Goodbye Chains

Yes, he’s in trouble. I’m starting to get bored now.

I’m taking a pause here because I should go check if the Photoshop lab is open for the homework that I need to do. I’ll do my best to finish this off when I’m done.

Back on Earth

The golden shovel is probably still one of my favorite running jokes, especially since it doesn’t seem to be overused.

The Book of Biff

I’m not quite sure about this one. It just seems weird, in ways that I actually don’t understand.

Cyanide and Happiness

The concept basis of this pisses me off too much to be funny, honestly.

Game Destroyers (2)

So basically, in Milon’s castle, Spiffy is god? that can’t make P.G. happy.

Irregular Webcomic

He said that she couldn’t be trusted, but did they listen? Heck, did he listen?

Matter of Fact

Um… they actually do plan out fireworks displays. That’s not really a joke point.

Misfile

Why is that the only comment I have here is on how weird Ash looks in overalls?

Mysteries of the Arcana

That’s a lot of shrooms…. yeah, that’s about it.

No Need For Bushido

Not the greatest page in the world. It leaned too much on facial expressions and a running gag that was never meant to be.

Our Last Gasp

She certainly took a leap, didn’t she?

R&R Productions (Bob Sly P.I.)

That explains things. Okay, then.

Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal

Sometimes you just need to learn when not to take things in context.

Sluggy Freelance

The creepy masks really should have been a clue.

Something Positive

Real friends are honest with you- even when you’d rather they’d not.

Union of Heroes

Not quite as good as the last update, but this is still very impressive illustration.

xkcd

Could somebody please explain this joke to me?

Yes, I know that I said that I’d be back on time yesterday, but yesterday I didn’t know that I would be going to help out at the Renaissance Festival. I loved it, for those that might want to know.

Ctrl+Alt+Del

This is a bit like a slapstick equivalent of someone in a rubber demon mask sneaking up on someone in a photo darkroom and roaring at them- overkill and rather stupid.

Cyanide and Happiness

I’m starting to get bored of all the “broken bones that weren’t quite from sex” jokes that have been being sent out lately on here.

Irregular Webcomic

I’d actually rather have holo-displays than flying cars. Just think about the possibilities with video games.

Lead Paint

Okay, so who was it that he was shooting fish guts at? And why did she actually put on the hat?

Luke Surl

Oh my god… this is just plain scary. It really did guess what I was thinking.

Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal

I can’t truthfully say that I fully understood this page.

Sluggy Freelance

This was pretty symbolic and stuff. Besides that, I don’t know what to say.

Something Positive

I’d be pretty creeped out if I was her, too. Although she is pretty hot.

Yes, I realize that I haven’t been keeping up with updates like I said I would. That’s why today I’m not just commenting on the comics that went up today- this is a mega update, and will encompass today and the two days that I’ve missed. Then I will probably be back on schedule.

Back on Earth

Wow, they’re a perfect couple, aren’t they? I’m officially waiting for the other shoe to drop now.

The Book of Biff (2)

The lesson of this week, I think, is that Biff should not be introduced to puzzles of any sort.

Bunny Pandemic

I don’t think I’m about to understand, but if my advice is any good, then I suggest that the artist make some sort of obvious difference between thought and speech bubbles.

Concession

Black webs of evil coming out of a dog-woman’s chest? Not quite as hot as one might think.

Ctrl+Alt+Del

I didn’t even read the dialogue on this page until the third read-through. Then I didn’t read it the fourth time. It really didn’t contribute anything.

Cyanide and Happiness (2) (3)

Damn, each of these actually need individual attention. On the first, very nice smash on Garfield. Second is… well, it’s just plain freaky-weird. Just don’t take hallucinogens and stay away from shrinking people, and you should be fine. Third is… cruel, in ways that I don’t especially like, but am finding amusing anyways.

Game Destroyers (2) (3)

Hey, fun, I can explain the last three updates in three sentences: “Milon challenged Spiffy to a bubble duel. He was incompetent. The Game Destroyers still don’t know what to do.” Plus pretty decent pacing, because the above would make for a very boring comic.

Girly

Well, he completely ruined the excitement, didn’t he?

Goodbye Chains

And there Banquo goes, trying to find an alternate escape.

Irregular Webcomic (2) (3)

Another one that I have to individually comment on? Well, Irregular Webcomic is a set of comics, after all. On the first one, I’d feel like smashing that guy in the head. No paradox! Bad perfect logic! For the second, something that should be noted is that being older only means that your little mistakes get bigger. And for the third, I never realized the point of this comic before, and it’s kind of fun (although I did once look up the meaning of “pull the other one, it’s got bells on”).

Luke Surl

Pretty good… whatsis… theoretical literal manifestation of a metaphoric conception. Yeah, one of those.

Matter of Fact (2)

Neither of these need much explaining, unless there are people reading that don’t know about Lewis and Clark or syphilis.

Misfile (2)

Aw, Ash is a chivalric hypocrite! That’s so sweet. Anyways, I personally don’t see any problem with treating girls special compared to guys, although the idea of me going out of my way to pull out chairs or open doors is a bit much.

Mysteries of the Arcana

Quick question here- if the bbuzz were sucked into her lungs, and she passed out from the poison, then wouldn’t the poison have gone straight into her lungs where the buzz were?

Order of the Stick

I absolutely loved this page. “Helpful” Belkar rocks!

Our Last Gasp

Quitting a bad habit is tough. I still chew my nails, for instance, although I’ve tried to stop. Then my nails grow out a little, they get some dirt under them, I use my teeth to clean them out (gross, yeah, but whatever), and then I just… nibble a bit. Then a bit more. And suddenly I have no nails again.

Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal (2)

Yeah, that’s right, that’s a (2) there. I finally figured out permalinks to SMBC. And am mildly ashamed that I couldn’t do so sooner. In both of them, I think the lesson to be learned is that words are important.

Sluggy Freelance (2) (3)

So, Riff figured out that alternate-him is the ruler of the world, so he’s hiding the truth from himself. And there’s a picture of a robot. Cool robot.

The SuperFogeys

She’s just a wee bit senile, I’m thinking.

Union of Heroes

This might be one of the coolest comic pages that I’ve ever seen. I’m honest, here.

xkcd

I’ve never tried Linux, so I’m not quite sure how to respond to this.

Okay, this is yesterday’s update. I slacked off, got caught up in things, and so on, but these are the comics that updated yesterday. I should have today’s up pretty soon.

+1 Comics

Once someone starts talking like this, I don’t even accept it as language.

The Book of Biff

I’ve always hated these types of puzzles. I can figure them out now, of course, but I still hate them.

Concession

Is it weird that the start of this page reminds me of FLCL? The baseball episode, to be specific.

Ctrl+Alt+Del

Wait, is this supposed to be funny?

Cyanide and Happiness

I think I understand this one, but if I do, then I don’t want to.

Game Destroyers (2)

So they don’t want the place. I’m just confused about how P.G. is getting up there without a balloon to help him.

Goodbye Chains

Hey, how’d that guy get there before Banquo?

Irregular Webcomic

That guy was born to work for the old Catholic Church. And on the subject of The Macarena, have you seriously listened to the lyrics of that? It’s kind of fucked up.

Life’s a Witch

Now she’s feeling really sorry for making her friend go on that date. Also, for those that failed to notice, this Life’s a Witch comes with a permalink! That’s right, the site actually started working again.

Luke Surl

Good math joke, good pun- pretty awesome page.

Matter of Fact

I never really paid enough attention to the Bible to be bothered by this, and I plan to continue to do so.

Misfile

This usually means that a person is either really overbearing or does absolutely no work at all.

Our Last Gasp

I don’t understand this, because I have not once watched Star Trek. Believe it or not, the choice is yours.

R&R Productions (Tales From the Looking Glass)

It’s a shiny room. I don’t see what the big deal is.

Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal

“Sexual Intercourse” actually seems like a pretty fun game to play, strange as it may sound. (no, it’s not sex)

Sluggy Freelance

This was a good page. It was so sad and sweet that I swear my breath caught in my throat for a moment.

Union of Heroes

Oh! I know what they’re talking about now.

xkcd

I don’t know who Ohm is… but this is a good popular culture reference.
